Romania

I have a lot of memories of Romania. Can't really say which ones are better than others, cause they all carry different emphases, emotions, or circumstances. For example, while working in Constanta at Casa Speranta, we played a lot of games since it was more like a Summer Camp than a Physical Therapy like in Iasi. On one of the days we decided to have some watermelon, as it was watermelon season. After we had started to cut up a few of the melons, one of the kids decided to throw it on Burt, then Burt threw it back and then before we knew, watermelons (and parts of them) were flying all over the place. In the end we were wet and sticky. It was a lot of fun and honestly haven't seen a group of kids as happy since. (I think there is a certain kind of joy that comes to a child's life when they get to throw pieces of watermelon and juice at an adult)

Another kind of memory involves humor and adventure, which frequently involved Anna and I. We were always doing something funny or adventurous. This included anything from both of us climbing boulders into the rapids of a river, to me trying to ride a wild horse, doing mock engagement photos, or to both of us trying to "fly" through the forest.
